Nimbin is the Alternative capital of Australia, and the Nimbin Theatre Troupe are its jesters, fools and knaves.

The Nimbin Theatre Troupe came together back in 2015 to stage Terry Pratchett’s Wyrd Sisters, which was adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs.

Wyrd sisters played to a packed house at the Nimbin Bush Theatre, encouraging the Troupe to persevere with their silliness.

In the years since Wyrd Sisters was staged, five more productions have been put together, though only four of those have been performed, as one (Check Please) was rehearsed to be staged as a double-header with Five Monkeys, and due to a series of unfortunate events (doubtless driven by the Troupe choosing a piss-take of the Scottish play for their debut) the event had to be scaled back to a performance of Five Monkeys by itself.
